The Russian economy is facing a 180-degree turn. Who does Putin propose to replace migrants with? – RuNews24.ru

Remember the story: in the 60s, Germany set a course to attract migrants “for economic purposes.” Now in many schools in Germany more than 80% of students are Muslim. Children of native Germans are forced to convert to Islam only because they are afraid of becoming outcasts among their peers.

Lesson at school in Germany

The dominance of strangers in their native land is a road to nowhere. Finally, Russia has begun to realize this.

Five years ago, the Amur region, completely unexpectedly for the entire country, suddenly stood up and announced that it would prohibit 27 business areas from hiring visitors. Regional Governor Vasily Orlov signed a corresponding decree.

“We have decided to ban the use of foreign labor in areas such as gold mining and agriculture,” Vasily Orlov commented on what was happening. – Moreover, the ban applies not only to citizens of the PRC, but also to CIS countries. To be honest, many of our employers were hostile to this decision, especially in agriculture. There were complaints that there was no one to work in the villages, people were drinking themselves to death and all hope was in foreigners.”

But five years have passed, and what do we see? The situation in the Amur region has changed dramatically. It turned out that if you pay Russians decent money, you will find workers, and they know how to work in the fields, and the problem with alcohol has moved into the background.

Following the pioneers from the Amur region, other Russian regions moved in the same direction. The Republic of Crimea in one fell swoop banned migrant workers from getting jobs in 34 business areas at once.

In the Chelyabinsk, Kaluga, Novosibirsk, and Kaliningrad regions – a total of 29 regions of the country – visitors were deprived of the right to work in the areas involved in the sale of alcohol and public catering. Migrant workers are also not allowed to drive public transport – to the great relief of other traffic participants.

They come with families

Have these regions become worse off? No one to drive a Gazelle? Have cooks and waiters disappeared from public catering? Nothing like this. Everything works, drives, opens, moves, life goes on.

True, some loopholes to jobs for foreigners still remain. Firstly, the hiring ban did not affect immigrants from member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, that is, the same Armenians and Kyrgyz. Secondly, the path to the coveted vacancies was closed only to those who come to Russia to work under a patent. If a foreigner has a residence permit, then the ban no longer applies to him.

In any case, the ban on hiring foreigners, introduced in 29 regions, cut off a significant part of guest workers.

The Minister of Internal Policy of the Kaluga Region, Oleg Kalugin, when asked how the region’s economy is doing after such drastic changes, only threw up his hands:

“I didn’t even sneeze.”

That is, as they say, what needed to be proven.

Employers were forced to admit: there was no longer any benefit from hiring guests from overseas.

Previously, it was believed that guest workers bring more benefits to their employers, since they are hardworking and willing to work for much more modest salaries than Russians.

But that was once upon a time. In recent years, “invaders” have felt like kings in a foreign land, since their services are in demand here. And, if so, then the “appetites” of strangers began to grow like mushrooms after rain. Many require employers not only to pay wages, but also to provide housing and sometimes food.

Nowadays, a migrant is expensive not only for the employer, but also for the country’s budget. After all, immigrants from the CIS countries pay only a few thousand rubles a month for a patent, while their children study in our schools for free, families receive various payments and benefits, and those foreigners who are older also receive a pension.

Do guests of our hospitable country work better than Russians? As it turns out, no. Every Russian knows: if you get into a minibus with a native of the CIS countries who speaks little Russian in the driver’s seat, do not forget to pray before the trip so that you arrive safe and sound.

Approximately the same picture is observed in other areas. Do migrant workers sweep the streets perfectly clean and work efficiently on construction sites? Nothing like that! And they know how to shirk, and endlessly mess up, and, on occasion, steal what is not nailed down.

For your information: in Russia, the crime rate among foreigners has recently increased by 32% – this data was provided last year by the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. Please note: these figures were announced long before terrorist attacks on Crocus City Hall.

Events at Crocus City Hall

After the tragedy in the shopping center, a total wave of inspections swept across the country, which revealed a huge number of violations of immigration legislation. There is no general figure for Russia yet, but the scale is easy to imagine. Just remember that last year 110 thousand violators of migration laws were expelled from the country. And the law enforcement officers have not yet tried very hard to catch everyone and send them back to where they came from.

There is another important point: most often, illegal immigrants are yesterday’s labor migrants who once quite decorously and legally crossed the border of the Russian Federation and were even puzzled by the preparation of permits. However, after 90 days, the legal period of their stay expired, but they were in no hurry to leave the territory, remaining next to us as illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigrants are those people who do not pay taxes to the country’s budget. That is, there is no benefit to Russians from them, but fear – undoubtedly. Who will guarantee that among these hundreds of thousands there will not be new shooters like those who attacked Crocus City Hall?

“A very important thing, because when migrant workers are attracted, they always talk about the need to do this due to the shortage of labor. Our entrepreneurs must understand that the situation for them in terms of labor availability will not change for the better in the coming years. They will face a labor shortage,” Vladimir Putin said in an interview.

Vladimir Putin

The message of the President of the Russian Federation is simple and clear: the country needs to rely not on import of labor from abroadwhich, as we have already understood, are economically unprofitable and potentially dangerous, but to increase labor productivity.

As in that famous song where “the robots work hard, the man is happy.” The lack of specialists can be compensated for by digital solutions: an unmanned taxi instead of a Tajik taxi driver, a self-service cash register in the cashier’s place, street cleaning robots, and not a crowd of Uzbeks with brooms.

After all, Russia does not rely on migrants, but on Russians. So it was, is, and will always be. Do you agree?
