In the village of Verkhotomskoye, the discharge of contaminated wastewater onto the terrain has been eliminated

Inspectors of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Kuzbass, after an appeal from residents of the village. Verkhotomskoye, Kemerovo Municipal District, conducted an on-site inspection regarding the discharge of contaminated wastewater onto the terrain.

It was established that at the site indicated in the appeal, contaminated wastewater was poured from the sewer system onto the terrain near the water body, which created a threat of harm to the environment.

Based on the revealed fact, the enterprise that operates the sewer system was issued a warning about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory legal requirements.

At the request of the Kuzbass Ministry of Natural Resources, the discharge was eliminated, which was confirmed by a repeated inspection.

At the same time, the collected materials on the fact of violation of the requirements of environmental legislation were sent to the Kemerovo Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor’s Office for taking prosecutorial response measures.
