On April 25, a congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) was held in Moscow, where President Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session. According to the regional government, representatives of the Tver region made a proposal to develop a vocational education system to train in-demand personnel in the Russian economy.

Thanks to the governor’s order, vocational education institutions are being modernized in the Upper Volga region, their material and technical base is being updated, and modern workshops are being created. New programs and areas of training specialists for high-tech industries are being introduced. Under the “Professionality” program, a cluster system is being introduced in the Tver region in vocational education in the areas of “Mechanical Engineering”, “Agriculture”, “Art and Creative Industry”.

Chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the Tver region and manager of the Metavr company, Andrei Dmitriev, voiced proposals at the congress regarding the support of teachers and mentors. In particular, they discussed increasing the salaries of teachers, as well as preferential terms for providing them with mortgage lending.
