At the Zagursky Musical Theater on April 29 at 17:00 there will be a concert program “Lighthouse People” (6+). It is based on creative performances shown on VDNH on Region Day at the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”. Then the Irkutsk region received an award for the best concert program.
It combines traditions and innovations, Buryat, Russian and Cossack songs, throat singing, folklore of the Siberian villages of the Bratsk and Kuitun regions, dances of the peoples of the Angara region, instrumental compositions and playing traditional national instruments, the press service reports Government of the Irkutsk region.
All this will be presented to the audience by the folk ensemble “Obereg” of the Irkutsk Regional House of Folk Art, the folk dance ensemble “Palette” of the Irkutsk Regional College of Culture and the state song and dance ensemble “Steppe Tunes” (6+).
The hallmark of the concert program is the vocal and choreographic composition “Our Baikal Wonderful Land!” (6+). It reflects the multinationality and soul of the people of the Baikal region.
The program will also feature the song “Mayaki” by the Russian group IOWA (6+). This “ecological manifesto” about Baikal and the relationship between people and the outside world became the starting point when choosing the name of the concert.
The online broadcast of the concert was supported by the federal portal Kultura.rf. It will take place live on April 29 at 17:00 p.m. link.
