The service sent corresponding letters to manufacturers

The Federal Antimonopoly Service warned manufacturers of building materials against unjustified price increases against the backdrop of flood waters flooding a large number of houses in several regions of the country. In particular, we are talking about the Orenburg, Kurgan, Tyumen regions, Altai Territory and nearby regions.

The department’s press service reported that they regularly monitor prices for building materials. According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Construction of Russia, there is now no reason to increase prices for relevant products. Manufacturers of building materials must bring this information to their trading houses, dealers, and agents.

If the FAS receives data on rising prices for building materials, this will become a reason to check the organization’s actions from the point of view of violation of antimonopoly legislation.
