In the Chechen segment of the Internet, information is being circulated that supposedly in some villages the population has made a collective decision to limit the presence of young people on the streets in the evening.
Rustam Abazov, the head of the Grozny district, which includes most of the villages listed in the mailings, told Chechnya Segodnya news agency that this information is fake and its source will be found.
“I declare with responsibility that neither local government bodies, nor public figures, nor the clergy held any gatherings, meetings, etc. on this issue. Moreover, no decisions or agreements on the issue of teenagers and young people being on the streets have been made and cannot be made, limiting constitutional rights, as well as violating the current regional and federal legislation,” Abazov said.
He emphasized that the First President of the Chechen Republic Akhmat-Hadzhi Kadyrov made enormous efforts to create and strengthen the right field for the successful socio-economic development of the region.
“The successes achieved in this direction will in no way allow us to limit or violate the rights and freedoms of our citizens,” the head of the district emphasized. “As I understand it, with this fake our ill-wishers are trying to cast a shadow on us and throw another bone for the yellow press to inflate yet another legend with loud headlines.”
Abazov added that “young people need to be taught, developed and inspired by their own example, and not frightened and limited.”
