Belarus will be able to provide military assistance to friendly states in the event of aggression against them. This is stated in the new military doctrine approved by the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly. The document was published on the national legal Internet portal.

“The Republic of Belarus considers it possible to provide military assistance to friendly states on the basis of bilateral and multilateral international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, including sending military contingents to participate in relevant activities to maintain international peace and security,” the doctrine says.

In addition, Belarus considers the use of force against any of the member states of the Union State as an encroachment on the Union State as a whole and will take “appropriate retaliatory measures using all forces and means at its disposal.”

The document also says that Minsk does not accept the expansion of NATO and the militarization of the countries included in the alliance, but is ready for a pragmatic dialogue.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that the world is covered with “a wave of premonition of the Third World War.”
