The authors of Escape from Tarkov really infuriated the gaming community. Users are not delighted with the new edition and it is not yet possible to appease them

After the announcement of a new edition for Escape from Tarkov, a scandal erupted. The fact is that The Unheard Edition will offer a number of significant bonuses + those who purchased Edge of Darkness do not have access to PvE, i.e. they need to update the edition (which has pissed off a lot of people).

The creators of Escape from Tarkov will offer the following compensation for owners of the Edge of Darkness edition (it was previously withdrawn from sale):

● Expedited insurance return;

● Increased personal limits for merchants by 20%;

● Increased karma for PMCs (from the moment it was added to the game);

● Access to unique crafting in the shelter;

● Increased skill “Charisma”;

● A special chain of quests that allows you to improve PMC pockets as a reward;

● Ability to replace 2 operational tasks per day for free;

● Unique token;

● Unique bandage;

● Unique set of clothes;

● Unique “Legacy” device;

● Increased matching priority for EOD owners for 6 months;

● Access to offline PVE mode for EOD owners for 6 months.

As noted: “We will provide these additional bonuses as soon as possible. Temporary access to PVE will be opened as soon as we strengthen the server infrastructure of this game mode to support a wider audience, because… This mode uses separate servers and only a limited number are available.”

The players were not happy and compare it to throwing a bone to a dog (or pancakes on a shovel) – access is only temporary.

In the Escape from Tarkov community, the topic of filing a lawsuit sometimes comes up – Battlestate Games is a British company, i.e. there is a definite chance of subsequent “legal adventures.” The fact is that for buyers of Edge of Darkness they were once promised that all add-ons (DLC) would be free.

The developers position the PvE mode not as DLC, but as a “feature” of the game, i.e. it does not fall under the definition of DLC and therefore will be available exclusively in The Unheard Edition (although after the scandal, EoD will be given temporary access – progress).
