The German concern Bosch began to wind down its activities in Russia in 2022.

“BSKH Household Appliances” is registered in Peterhof. Until 2022, the company was engaged in “mass production of refrigerators and washing machines,” and later only in “sales of spare parts, wholesale and retail trade in household appliances, service and warranty maintenance of household electrical appliances of the Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau, Neff, Zelmer trademarks.” Before production stopped, the company employed more than 1 thousand people; in 2023, the average number of employees fell to 635 people. The LLC’s revenue reached its maximum in 2021 – 50 billion rubles, in 2022 it fell to 20 billion rubles, and in 2023 – to 2 billion rubles. In 2022, Bosch announced the suspension of production and supplies of household appliances for the Russian market. The media reported that the Turkish manufacturer of household appliances Jacky’s, as well as the Chinese Hisense, could lay claim to Bosch’s Russian business.

“Ariston Thermo Rus” (until 2009 “Merloni Thermosanitary Rus”) was created in 2002 in the production zone in Vsevolozhsk. The beneficial owner is Paolo Merloni. The Russian LLC employs about 300 people. The Russian company is engaged in “the production of household electrical appliances and the sale of purchased household electrical and gas appliances.” In 2023, the LLC’s revenue amounted to 9.435 billion rubles.

JSC Gazprom Household Systems is a subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom. The manufacturer calls itself a long-term leader in the Russian Federation in terms of production of household gas stoves and components for gas equipment. In 2023, the holding received 6 billion rubles in revenue and employed 1.15 people.

At the beginning of the century, Gazprom consolidated assets in the field of household gas equipment manufacturing on the basis of the Gazmash company. After packaging the assets, Gazprom intended to sell it to a strategic investor. The holding was listed as a non-core asset for a long time and was even put up for auction in 2008, but did not receive a buyer.

In June 2023, the Samara production of Bosch, which was engaged in the production of anti-lock braking systems (ABS) and dynamic stabilization systems (ESP) for cars, became the property of Russia after 100% of it was acquired by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Central Scientific Research Automobile and Automotive Institute” subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. (US). The plant of Robert Bosch Samara LLC was renamed into NAMI – Innovative Components LLC.
