In the 19th minute of the match, the Brazilian harshly hit the shin of Grozny midfielder Lechi Sadulayev with his studs. Chief referee Rafael Shafeev showed Roche a yellow card, but after watching the video replay, he changed his decision and sent off the 29-year-old defender.

At the end of the match, Shafeev also showed red to the army defender Igor Diveev, who struck Akhmat defender Milos Shatar in the head.

“We examined the video materials, violations by Roshi and Diveev. Roshi’s violation is not intentional, but negligence is also considered guilty. The violation was committed using excessive force and could have resulted in injury. Rocha and Diveev once again apologized to the players they violated the rule. Diveev did not see the player on whom he violated the rule, and was the first to play the ball. Rocha is suspended for two RPL matches. The FCC does not apply additional sanctions to Diveev, other than automatic disqualification,” said the head of the RFU FCC, Artur Grigoryants.

Rosha and Diveev will miss the upcoming derby with Spartak, which will take place on Thursday, April 25. The Brazilian will also miss the away game against Baltika on April 28.

CSKA is in sixth place in the RPL standings, 13 points behind the leading Zenit.
