Adrian Newey is one of those paddock heroes who are constantly talked about, and reasons for various kinds of rumors often appear, although they are not always well founded.

On the one hand, there is no reason to doubt the reliability of reports about his possible departure from Red Bull Racing, especially since information about this appeared in very authoritative sources. On the other hand, it is also known that last year Newey extended his contract with the Milton Keynes team and his obligations to it expire only at the end of 2025. According to experts, his fees are about $10 million a year.

If it is confirmed that the most successful racing car designer in the history of Formula 1 is indeed negotiating with Ferrari, then in Maranello he could be paid many times more. However, for now, Red Bull Racing hastened to respond to rumors about an imminent separation from Newey, distributing a very brief comment.

“Adrian’s contract runs until at least the end of 2025. We are not aware that he is moving to any other team,” a Red Bull spokesman confirmed.

However, with this formulation, for example, it cannot be ruled out that Newey may retire from affairs related to Formula 1, or, for one reason or another, will go on “academic leave,” followed by resignation.

But apparently, in the near future he will remain as head of the technical department of Red Bull Racing, and it is known that he will work with the team at the Miami Grand Prix.
