A big patch has been released for CS2 – “Patrol” has been added, a new sight for grenades, the ability to pick up weapons through the magazine and more

On the night of April 26, Valve released a patch for Counter-Strike 2. The developers improved a number of maps, added new features, including a separate sight for grenades and the ability to pick up weapons at spawn through the purchase menu, and much more.
List of changes:
Models:
- corrected model view when moving with the bob parameter enabled;
- added a setting that allows you to select the left or right hand as the main one;
- added a bind that allows you to temporarily change the main hand during the game (default English H);
- now spectators will be able to see which hand the player is using as his main hand;
- Removed outdated Couch option when selecting to display hand and weapon models.
Interface:
- added an alternative radar scale option and a bind to change it during the game;
- added a radar icon for a spectator who uses a free camera;
- a separate sight for grenades has been added, which appears after pulling the pin and can be configured for each type of grenade separately;
- Changed the text when hovering over a dropped weapon to always display the game name and not the custom tag;
- added an icon to display in-air kills in the kills feed;
- the results table has been added to the menu opened with the ESC button;
- added an icon to display bots in the results table.
Shopping menu:
- added a “thrown weapons” panel, which displays and allows you to pick up weapons that teammates threw on the ground during purchase;
- The amount of money that the player is guaranteed to receive in the next round has been added to the top right of the purchase menu.
Gameplay:
- increased movement speed with Zeus in hand and adjusted attack cone;
- The reward for kills with Zeus has been increased from $0 to $100 (in casual mode – up to $50);
- the reward for killing a CZ75-Auto has been increased from $100 to $300 (in casual mode – up to $150);
- Reduced reward for killing XM1014 from $900 to $600 (to $300 in casual mode).
Inventory:
- Adjusted the lighting of background maps when inspecting weapons in the game menu;
- added information about weapon wear when inspecting it in the game menu;
- added display of the game name of the weapon when viewed in the game menu; previously only the custom name was shown, if there was one.
Cards:
- Overpass map replaced with Dust2 in competitive mappool and Premier mode;
- Various bugs have been fixed and improvements have been made to Inferno, Overpass, Nuke, Vertigo, Mirage and Office maps.
Other:
- camera movement is decoupled from the demo playback speed – this allows you to move the camera even if there is a pause;
- added the ability to launch training matches and maps from the Workshop with group members;
- a “Patrol” system has been added, allowing trusted users to view demos and render a verdict on players suspected of foul play;
- stickers from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 received a 75% discount;
- Added the ability to adjust brightness in windowed modes.
