On the night of April 26, Valve released a patch for Counter-Strike 2. The developers improved a number of maps, added new features, including a separate sight for grenades and the ability to pick up weapons at spawn through the purchase menu, and much more.

List of changes:

Models:

  • corrected model view when moving with the bob parameter enabled;
  • added a setting that allows you to select the left or right hand as the main one;
  • added a bind that allows you to temporarily change the main hand during the game (default English H);
  • now spectators will be able to see which hand the player is using as his main hand;
  • Removed outdated Couch option when selecting to display hand and weapon models.

Interface:

  • added an alternative radar scale option and a bind to change it during the game;
  • added a radar icon for a spectator who uses a free camera;
  • a separate sight for grenades has been added, which appears after pulling the pin and can be configured for each type of grenade separately;
  • Changed the text when hovering over a dropped weapon to always display the game name and not the custom tag;
  • added an icon to display in-air kills in the kills feed;
  • the results table has been added to the menu opened with the ESC button;
  • added an icon to display bots in the results table.

Shopping menu:

  • added a “thrown weapons” panel, which displays and allows you to pick up weapons that teammates threw on the ground during purchase;
  • The amount of money that the player is guaranteed to receive in the next round has been added to the top right of the purchase menu.

Gameplay:

  • increased movement speed with Zeus in hand and adjusted attack cone;
  • The reward for kills with Zeus has been increased from $0 to $100 (in casual mode – up to $50);
  • the reward for killing a CZ75-Auto has been increased from $100 to $300 (in casual mode – up to $150);
  • Reduced reward for killing XM1014 from $900 to $600 (to $300 in casual mode).

Inventory:

  • Adjusted the lighting of background maps when inspecting weapons in the game menu;
  • added information about weapon wear when inspecting it in the game menu;
  • added display of the game name of the weapon when viewed in the game menu; previously only the custom name was shown, if there was one.

Cards:

  • Overpass map replaced with Dust2 in competitive mappool and Premier mode;
  • Various bugs have been fixed and improvements have been made to Inferno, Overpass, Nuke, Vertigo, Mirage and Office maps.

Other:

  • camera movement is decoupled from the demo playback speed – this allows you to move the camera even if there is a pause;
  • added the ability to launch training matches and maps from the Workshop with group members;
  • a “Patrol” system has been added, allowing trusted users to view demos and render a verdict on players suspected of foul play;
  • stickers from PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 received a 75% discount;
  • Added the ability to adjust brightness in windowed modes.
