Rizvan Magomedov, manager of the Russian fighter, UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, spoke about his client’s sporting plans.
On June 1, Makhachev will defend his UFC title in a fight against American Dustin Poirier at UFC 302 in Newark (USA).
“Islam will defend himself in a fight against Poirier, and then we will have a fight with Arman (Tsarukyan). We must admit, he deserved this fight, got to the first line of the rating and defeated all his opponents. For now we have these two fights on the horizon, and we’ll see what happens next. Fight with Tsarukyan this year? Yes, it could be in Abu Dhabi or New York,” Magomedov said in an interview with TASS.
