Dark and Darker Mobile is undergoing beta testing on Android. I took part in it and now I’ll tell you what’s interesting in the early version. First, players will experience a training level, during which they will learn how to control the character, open doors, fight goblins and collect loot from them. As in Arena Breakout, most actions take time, and while transferring items from the enemy’s inventory to yours, you can be attacked from behind and you won’t have time to do anything. Also, the game does not have a targeting system, so some hits may miss the enemy, since you need to hit his avatar clearly.
One of the disadvantages of the early version of Dark and Darker Mobile is that even at the maximum graphics preset, the models and surroundings look “blurry”. Lighting and shadows save the situation.
You can escape from the location with the obtained loot through portals, which also take time to activate. If everything is successful, your character will earn EXP to increase his level and account level.
There can be only 2 people in your group. Emotions are used to communicate with them; they can be selected and configured in advance.
Also, each class in Dark and Darker Mobile has its own active and passive skills. For example, the rogue has stealth and poison gas. The player must choose in advance which skills to take with him. As you level up, new slots for skills open up: at levels 5, 10, 15 and 20.
Even before the race, players must choose what to take with them and what to leave in their cache. If something is missing, you can buy items from NPC merchants; Some items have a purchase limit.
The world of Dark and Darker Mobile is divided into separate dungeons, each of them sets its own conditions for entry and offers its own rewards. So, the higher the required level of equipment for entry, the higher the catch will be. This was probably done to prevent particularly smart players from going out in their best clothes in an attempt to kill well-equipped heroes from behind.
There is also a ticket for entry – there are 10 of them at the start, they are replenished over time. I note that some dungeons also cannot be accessed until the hero or account is at a certain level.
In addition to PvPvE dungeons, Dark and Darker Mobile added cooperative Shadow Realm dungeons, to enter which you need to gather a group of 3 people and also pay 200 coins. The goal of the mission is to destroy all monsters. If you complete one mission, another one opens. At the same time, you can receive a reward for each stage only once every day.
Closer to release, Dark and Darker Mobile will open PvP arenas for those who want to test their character against the strongest players. It is unclear whether the fighters will lose their equipment. If yes, then the mode will be very hardcore, since the location looks small.
After starting a match in PvPvE dungeons, players are given about 12 seconds to warm up and load up. In the screenshot you can see a footstep indicator on the right side of the avatar – this was done to hear and see where the enemy is approaching from.
Also in Dark and Darker Mobile you can use the microphone for voice communication and mute the voices of other players if you do not want to hear others.
In some places in the location there are statues that completely restore HP or increase defense. And if you’ve watched or played Harry Potter, you’ll notice “Cursed Chests” that attack your avatar. They can catch the player by surprise because many chests are harmless and allow you to collect more loot.
Equipment in Dark and Darker Mobile can be divided into classes, or can be suitable for any class. They also have additional stats that you need to navigate in order to understand whether this item is useful or useless? For example, it can increase magic resistance by 10, movement speed by 1, but reduce defense by 2 and headshot damage by 2.
When a portal appears at a location to escape from the zone, all players receive a text notification.
Of course, the worst thing is to be sandwiched between goblins and real rivals, who together, as if in concert, beat your avatar until he loses his pulse. Terrible death.
You should also beware of the danger zone, which narrows and is marked in red. If you hit it, the character will slowly lose HP. It happens that portals are located in these zones, so if your character has very little HP, you must first find a bottle of health potion or a statue, and only then rush to the exit.
And the last point – Dark and Darker Mobile will be divided into seasons. During them you need to collect a collection of different objects: from bread and cheese to a skeleton head. All this, like in mobile MMORPGs like Lineage 2M, adds to the collection and gives passive bonuses.
