Livonia from DayZ will be given away for free. Bohemia introduced patch 1.25 and received devastating reviews from dissatisfied players

The adventures of DayZ fans continue. Bohemia Interactive decided to change its approach to content distribution and caused a wave of outrage

Development of DayZ will continue into 2024. Bohemia Interactive presented experimental update 1.25, and also talked about plans for content distribution.

The premium Livonia add-on is currently available for DayZ, but Bohemia Interactive has decided to give this DLC away for free, and also offer new customers an updated edition that combines the base game and the Livonia map:

“…we would like to announce significant changes. The DayZ base game and the Livonia DLC will be merged into one product when update 1.25 is released on the stable branch. The goal is to streamline our range and simplify our offerings in anticipation of future “developments” [событий].

At the same time, we are committed to improving the player experience by increasing the accessibility of Livonia, thereby uniting the communities of both the base game and DLC across all platforms. Although the price will increase slightly due to the new product’s value expansion, it will be more ‘cost effective’ than the current DayZ Livonia Bundle.”

Those who managed to buy Livonia are expectedly dissatisfied with the decision of the DayZ authors, which can be seen in the DLC reviews on Steam, in which Bohemia “say hello.”

For DayZ itself, they presented about 100 minutes of ambient music (plays at different times of the day and while traveling through locations); reworked sounds for shotguns, grenade launchers and crossbows.

We’ve also improved the way the player’s position is adjusted between the client and server, which should prevent getting stuck in a doorway.
