Ex-NASA engineer announces creation of an engine that runs without fuel

Exodus Propulsion Technologies’ propulsion system generates enough thrust to overcome Earth’s gravity without ejecting mass. The amazing invention was presented at the APEC alternative propulsion conference, which brought together professionals and amateurs into an elite club of gravity fighters. Charles Buehler and his colleagues believe they have discovered a fundamentally new force, marking a historic breakthrough that will usher in a new era of space travel.

In a paper entitled “The Discovery of Fuelless Propulsion: Direct Conversion of Electrical Energy into Physical Propulsion,” Buehler explains how his background in electrostatics and work at NASA on the Space Shuttle, ISS, and Hubble projects led to ideas about fuelless propulsion. What followed was years of experimentation and mathematical calculations that resulted in a new approach that used asymmetries in electrostatic pressure to move forward.

However, until recently, the most successful prototypes gave a little more than one hundred thousandth of a certain unit of gravity. Little by little, this figure grew, and in 2023, engineers reached the full value of thrust required by the engine in order to overcome Earth’s gravity. And along the way, they carefully screened out any alternative explanations for the tiny but measurable force that they continued to observe in experiments.

“This discovery of the New Force is fundamental because it means that electric fields alone can generate a significant force in an object that will allow the above-mentioned object to be transported in the center of mass system without ejecting mass,” Buehler said. “There are laws, of course, including the law of conservation of energy, but if you do it right, you can achieve powers unlike anything else humanity has done in the past.” This is the force we will use to accelerate objects in the next thousand years.”

If Buehler’s team’s engineers’ claim has any basis in fact, the discovery will certainly be a major breakthrough. Eliminating the need for fuel will reduce the cost and increase the range of space flights. And yet the news was met without much enthusiasm or fanfare. The thing is, writes IE, that this is not the first time a team of engineers has announced such a breakthrough. Something similar happened with EmDrive or Quantum Drive in past. Neither project produced real results after testing in space.

Buehler, of course, assures that his prototype engine has been rigorously tested and has shown noticeable results. But until the technology is tested in real conditions, skepticism towards it is inevitable.

American company Wave Engine sent flight of a UAV without moving elements. The drone, powered by a modern version of the pulsating jet engine, performed a series of takeoffs and tests in the air before landing successfully. Manufacturers of military aircraft and drones have already shown interest in the technology.
