Four Brazilian citizens who went to Ukraine to fight on the side of the Kyiv regime as mercenaries are considered missing or dead.

A representative of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this to RIA Novosti on April 24. According to him, information about these four Brazilians was received from the embassy in Kyiv.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the Brazilian Embassy in Kyiv, is aware of the death or disappearance of four Brazilians in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,” – said the diplomat.

He also added that the Brazilian Foreign Ministry does not have accurate data on the number of its citizens who decided to leave for Ukraine, but the department is in contact with the relatives of the victims to provide them with consular assistance.

The youngest person to die was a 25-year-old Antonio Asitiani, medical student. A 44-year-old Brazilian died while saving two colleagues in Ukraine Andre Louis Ak Bay. The same fate befell Douglas Rodriguez Buriguhe died in Kharkov.

Another Brazilian mercenary is a blogger Max Panavu. It is stated that he is missing, but his friend considers Panava dead in Avdeevka.

All those killed fought as part of the so-called “foreign legion,” which one relative called “a stronghold of corrupt people.”

A representative of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry noted that the state cannot pay the costs of repatriating the remains of the dead, according to current legislation. Therefore, the relatives of the victims must decide this issue on their own.

Previously EADaily reported that relatives of Colombian mercenaries killed in Ukraine cannot return their bodies.
