The airspace over southern Norway is closed. The problem, Gazeta reports, may be due to a technical error at the Avinor control center in Reuken.
“Safety always comes first, so we have no choice” — the Center commented on this event.
The airspace over southern Norway was closed on the morning of Thursday, April 25. Estimates of damages resulting from flight delays have not yet been published.
But it is known that the closure of the airspace was due to a technical error that occurred before 6:30 am.
“There are two systems that no longer work together. This means that we must close the airspace over the whole of southern Norway.” – said Avinor’s press secretary Ylva Selius Trulsen.
Attempts to fix the error continue, but it is not yet possible to say exactly how long it will take.
