Lipchan residents set six records at the awards ceremony for the winners of the show “I’m Going for a Record” as part of the IV Festival of Champions of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO “GTO Games”. Participants had to fulfill one of the stated standards for the highest possible result.

The Lipetsk team showed the best results in the following exercises. Raising the body from a supine position – Irina Larina (XII stage, 40-44 years old) – 51 times. 60-meter run: Anastasia Filippova (VIII stage, 20-24 years old) – 8.33 seconds, Olga Pshenichnikova (X stage, 30-34 years old) – 8.15 seconds, Ivan Nesmeyanov (VIII stage, 20-24 years old) – 7.41 seconds, Evgeniy Voravko (XI stage, 35-39 years old) – 7.75 seconds, Alexey Kulabukhov (XIII stage, 45-49 years old) – 8.70 seconds. The names of these athletes will be included in the memorable TRP Book of Records.

The festival “GTO Games” was held from April 19 to 21 in Sochi on the territory of the sports center of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “South Sports”. More than 400 athletes from 38 regions of the country took part in the competition. “The GTO complex is an effective Soviet practice that allows you to maintain and control your physical fitness throughout your life. In the Lipetsk region, there are more supporters of the GTO movement every year – and this is a good trend,” said the governor of the Lipetsk region, Igor Artamonov.
