Vologda residents brought more than a ton of recyclable materials as part of the Ecopark campaign

On April 21, an action to collect recyclable materials “Ecopark” took place on Revolution Square. The event became part IV International environmental forum “Ecology: city, economy, people”.

Residents of Vologda could again bring more than 20 types of recyclable materials to Veles volunteers. Activists of the organization “Mama Can” accepted the plastic caps. Batteries, blisters for tablets, electronic cigarettes, old cotton bed linen, umbrellas, toothbrushes, and clips from bread bags could be returned to EcoBessrochka.

As a result, volunteers collected 980 kilograms of recyclable materials of various fractions, as well as 340 kilograms of glass. The total mass of recyclable materials delivered was one ton 320 kilograms.

Also, as part of the eco-forum, Vologda residents could donate recyclable materials to an eco-bus, which traveled around the city and accepted plastic, glass, waste paper and other recyclable waste. The bus made several stops, including on the street. Fryazinovskaya, Chernyshevsky, Konev, Okruzhny highway. Vologda residents donated 600 kilograms of recyclable materials to eco-bus volunteers.
