Soldiers from the Tambov region show courage and heroism in the Northern Military District zone

Appeals are being received from the command of military units participating in a special military operation addressed to the Head of the Tambov Region, Maxim Egorov. In them they inform about the valiant performance of military duty by military personnel from the Tambov region.

As reported by the regional government, several “Letters of Honor to the Motherland” were received from the motorized rifle unit, where mobilized residents of the Tambov region serve. They note that Tambov residents show a fighting spirit, perseverance, discipline, dedication and devotion to the military oath.

Another appeal came from the women’s council of the military unit, where Stepan B, a native of the Tambov region of the guard, serves as captain of a separate rocket artillery unit of the Eastern Military Circle. For courage, bravery and dedication, he was awarded six military awards, including the Zhukov medal, “For Military Valor” , “For courage.”

The head of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, in turn, emphasized that Tambov residents are proud of their defenders of the Fatherland, who have been carrying out combat missions with honor since the first days of the Northern Military District. For heroism and courage, eight people have already been awarded the country’s highest award – the Gold Star medal of the Hero of Russia. One of them is brigade commander Denis Ivanov, call sign “Tashkent,” who was awarded the title posthumously by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. He studied in Tambov at school No. 22, where a memorial plaque of the Hero was installed.

Residents of the region actively support their fellow countrymen participating in the SVO.

“Almost half a billion rubles have been collected through the Development of Tambov Region charity foundation alone. And how many humanitarian supplies and necessary equipment were sent from teams of enterprises and organizations, entrepreneurs and all concerned residents of the region! Children write letters to the front, women knit socks and weave camouflage nets, men repair equipment. There is nationwide support for the army. And the military personnel feel a strong rear and moral support. We are all united in the expectation of Victory!” – noted the Head of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov.

The Tambov Region Development Fund was created on the initiative of representatives of the region’s business community and with the support of the Head of the Tambov Region, Maxim Egorov. Through the fund, military personnel can quickly purchase essential items, including auto parts, drones, night vision devices, and also repair equipment. In recent weeks, we have additionally purchased diesel generators, autonomous diesel stoves, insulation, thermal underwear, winter equipment, consumables for vehicles, and power tools.
