This week in Kirov, the removal of tree branches from municipal container sites began. This is necessary to maintain a neat appearance of accumulation areas and to avoid littering the area next to them. The work is carried out by Kuprit employees.
– For you and me, waste management reform begins with the container site. If the site is littered, the impressions of the waste collection system are negative. In past years, there were cases of littering sites with non-municipal waste (branches, tires, construction waste). To change the situation, a number of decisions were made,” commented Timur Abashev, Minister of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region.
Starting this year, the waste operator will remove all waste located on and near the site. If necessary and during the season, additional containers and waste bins will be placed. However, the waste removal fee will not change.
As Kuprit noted, container sites are usually littered with branches after cleanup work. They will be removed from local areas in accordance with the terms of the contract and if they are in the tank. The “crusher” will arrive only upon concluding an additional agreement with the management company, which is the owner of the container site.
