The former chief accountant of the Nizhny Novgorod passport and visa center will stand trial

A criminal case against the former chief accountant of the branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Passport and Visa Service” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region has been transferred to court. This was reported by the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.

According to investigators, from 2021 to 2023, the accused and the head of the branch, the criminal case against whom was separated into separate proceedings, received a bribe in the amount of more than 15 million rubles through an intermediary.

For this money, they entered into sublease agreements between the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Passport and Visa Service” for the installation of bank payment terminals in the branch premises.

The criminal case will be heard in the Nizhny Novgorod District Court.
