“What is written online is malicious lies and slander.” Nikitin’s bards responded to propagandists’ accusations of “financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine”

Today we address our viewers, our friends, colleagues and all those who care about our lives!

First of all, we want to say that we have never financed the Armed Forces of Ukraine and did not intend to do so. What is written online is malicious lies and slander.

To remove all doubts, we refused to participate in the “Age of Happiness” festival, which is scheduled to take place at the end of May in Montenegro. On April 21, we wrote an official letter to the organizers of this festival and asked to remove our name from the poster.

We have not accumulated much money in our lives, but we have earned the respect of many compatriots and a reputation as not the worst citizens of Russia. And we really value this.

We never sang to please politics and politicians, we did not expect any benefits from the state – apartments, positions and fees. Maybe the fact that we kept our backs straight in all situations, the fact that decency, respect for people, honesty is not an empty phrase for us, people felt and appreciated.

Everything we want to say you will find in our songs. We value the trust that arises between us and the audience; we are happy when we bring joy to people.

Many of the poems we chose became songs loved by the people. Russian language and Russia – our Fatherland. Everything that was written in our lives was dictated by the love of poetry and the desire to share it with the audience. In recent years, many new songs have been composed, and listeners warmly welcome them wherever we perform.

For more than 30 years, Sergei has selflessly been holding “Nikitin Meetings” for children and parents. He tried to instill in children a love of poetry and music, artistic taste, the ability to communicate with people, listen and hear others, make friends and love their homeland.

We are glad that grown-up children, becoming parents, bring their children to our concerts.

Our son went to study in the USA in 1990. His documents were prepared by the State. Education of the USSR. It was a time of detente and friendship not only at the government level, but also between the people of our countries.

Our only son got married, grandchildren were born, and they live in the USA.

Naturally, we became frequent guests of his family.

And we have been living this life for the last 30 years.

Why do we go on stage all our lives? To unite people, to stand against hatred, hostility and ignorance. The main values ​​for us are human life and dignity.
