The refund policy for pre-ordered items purchased on Steam has been updated. Games that are available for pre-order and include Extended Access (a feature that allows players who pre-order a game to try out the product before it officially launches on Steam) will be eligible to be returned for a refund request.

A player has the right to request a refund for purchases on Steam for numerous reasons (the PC does not meet the system requirements of the project, the game was purchased by mistake, the product was not to your taste, and you tried it for no more than two hours). Regardless of the circumstances, funds will be returned to Valve, however the request must be made through “Support”. Users in some regions may even have additional rights to request a return if the product is defective. Funds are transferred to your Steam wallet (or the payment method used to purchase the game is taken into account). It is worth considering that some payment methods available in your country do not support returns at all, so you should check the list.

Please note the time period during which you can return funds – 2 weeks from the date of purchase and provided that you use the game for no more than two hours.
