The Vladimir branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland state fund launched a campaign about the continuity of generations of heroes

On the eve of Victory Day, the “Heirs of the Winners” project was launched in the Vladimir region. It is being implemented by the regional branch of the State Fund “Defenders of the Fatherland”.

The project is aimed at demonstrating the unbroken continuity of generations of heroic warriors who at different times stood up to defend our country. The stories of the families of the heroes of the Northern Military District, their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers, participants in the Great Patriotic War, are published in the format of stories on the social networks of the state fund branch. They are illustrated with photo collages in which the past, present and future are united.

Here, for example, is one of the poignant stories published as part of the project:

“Takhir Sadiev is a veteran of the Northern Military District. He served in the internal affairs bodies for 16 years. In the early 2000s, he took part in hostilities in the North Caucasus. From the very beginning of the special military operation, he carried out combat missions as part of the battalion tactical group of the 44th Guards Tank Regiment. On March 25, 2022, during the battle, enemy fire was opened on the tank. During the evacuation, the crew came under machine gun fire. Having got out of the tank first, Tahir, risking his life, shielded the commander with himself and saved him from the machine-gun fire. Two bullets hit Tahir in the back. Thanks to his comrades, he was taken to the hospital, where complex operations were performed. After long-term treatment, he returned home and continued his service as a foreman of a tank company. For dedication, courage and bravery, Tahir Sadiev was awarded the state award of the Russian Federation – the Order of Courage.

Takhir’s grandfather, Franz Rafailovich Basevich, volunteered for the front in July 1941 at the age of 20. He served with the rank of medical service lieutenant in the 112th Infantry Regiment, then in the 333rd Infantry Regiment of the 117th Infantry Division. During his time at the front, he saved many lives, evacuating soldiers from the battlefield and conducting operations. Franz Basevich was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, II degree, and the medal of the Presidium of the Supreme Council “For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”

Continuity of generations is a thread that cannot be broken, it is a connection between the past, present and future. Tahir has a son, Yegor, who will certainly inherit the military prowess of his father and great-grandfather.”

By the way, Tahir Sadiev is a frequent guest at educational institutions in the Vladimir region. He regularly meets with schoolchildren and students, talking about the exploits of his comrades and love for the Motherland, and conducts “Lessons in Courage” for the children.
