The prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region demanded that Vasily Golubev pay attention to the problems of major repairs

The prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region demanded the personal attention of Governor Vasily Golubev to the problems of implementing measures to carry out major repairs of common property in apartment buildings. The press service of the department reported this.

Thus, the prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region identified significant shortcomings in the implementation of the regional program for the overhaul of common property in apartment buildings in the region for 2014–2049.

“It has been established that the short-term plan for 2023 has not been fully implemented; as of April of this year, construction and installation work in 245 apartment buildings has not been completed,” the report says.

It is clarified that in 450 houses, work on major repairs of gas equipment, which were included in the plans of the regional program for 2021-2023, has not been completed.

And also, of the 2,140 houses planned for 2024, contracts for major repairs have been concluded for only 725, or 34% – this indicates a low rate of contracting and creates negative preconditions for completing work beyond the established deadlines.

There are also problems with the expiration of the service life of elevators. In 2025, 517 units of elevator equipment are subject to replacement, of which 185 elevators that are not included in the regional program plan for the current year require additional coordination measures and financial support.

Moreover, over the past years, the total debt on contributions exceeds 2 billion rubles, and this year it has increased by another 209 million rubles.

“The above facts may lead to another delay in the implementation of the regional program this year, in connection with which the prosecutor’s office of the Rostov region brought to the attention of the regional governor information about the need to take additional measures to respect the rights of citizens to favorable and safe living conditions in apartment buildings,” it says in the message.
