On April 24, at a meeting of the City Duma, the Head of local government of Kaluga, Yuri Moiseev, and the City Head of the regional center, Dmitry Denisov, awarded the Order of Courage to the participant in the special military operation, Maxim Asadullin. Our fellow countryman was awarded this award by decree of the President of Russia for courage and dedication. In addition, as a sign of gratitude for the support of the participants in the special operation, the heads of industrial enterprises and members of the veteran organizations “VoIn” and “Typhoon” were awarded the “80 Years of the Liberation of Kaluga” medals.

As Yuri Moiseev emphasized at the award ceremony, “today it is with great pleasure that we presented a high state award to a real hero. With medals we noted the merits of our fellow countrymen who demonstrate an active civic position and contribute to our common future victory.”

Later at the meeting, deputies decided to name the streets and install memorial plaques. A memorial plaque will be installed on the facade of house No. 71 on Guryanova Street in memory of Tatyana Morozova, head of children’s outpatient department No. 8. In the building of the Energy sports school there will be a plaque dedicated to Yegor Dulida, who died during a special military operation and was awarded the medal “For Courage” and the Order of Courage by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. A memorial plaque will be installed on the facade of house No. 118 on Suvorov Street in honor of Mikhail Yankelevich, a participant in the Great Patriotic War and one of the founders of the veteran movement in the city.

A street in the Pravoberezhye microdistrict is named in honor of Nikolai Privalov, who served in the prosecutor’s office for more than 30 years. He served as prosecutor of the Kaluga region from 1992 to 2002 and was awarded orders and medals. The park in the area of ​​Marata Street was given the name “Park of the Theater of Young Spectators”.
