On Wednesday, in his speech at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Ulyanovsk region, Governor Alexey Russkikh commented on the deputies’ remark about the imminent resignation of Health Minister Olesya Kolotik-Kameneva and announced new layoffs in the “White House”. The head of the region did not disclose who exactly he was talking about:

– It’s always easy to hire, hard to leave. When I was still studying at the school of governors, one speaker told us that the issue should not be delayed. If something doesn’t work out for someone, you have to say goodbye, otherwise the whole area slows down.

I will honestly say that there will be changes in our government. This is in the interests of all residents and my own. All departments must work like clockwork. We have a second front here in the rear, we are forging victory here. Therefore, we will work directly and firmly,” Russkikh said.

The topic of high-profile dismissals was raised by the leader of the LDPR faction, Dmitry Grachev. He called a number of personnel and management decisions “ambiguous”:

– At least four deputy prime ministers and several ministers left their posts in 2023. This does not create peace in the industry and does not improve the dynamics of development. Health Minister Olesya Kolotik-Kameneva was recently fired. She worked in acting status for about 8 months, she was just approved and she left. Who signed the resignation letter? We must not wait for the Prosecutor General, who will come, point out problems that we already know about, and resignations will follow.
