An older sister is waiting for the newborn boys at home.
There is a triple addition to the family of a SVO participant from the Chelyabinsk region. The couple had three boys. The birth took place at the regional perinatal center. A three-year-old sister is waiting for the newborn brothers at home. In addition, the children’s mother Daria is raising two more younger sisters, 14 and 17 years old. The girls’ parents died. Dasha’s husband Alexander serves under a contract in a special military operation zone.
The young mother did not immediately find out that she was expecting triplets.
“At the first ultrasound there was one, at the second there were two, and later it turned out that there were three of them. With each ultrasound, the number of babies increased,” Daria told the press service of the medical institution. “When I told my husband it was twins, he was surprised. And when I found out about the triplets, I reacted more calmly.”
According to doctors, Misha, Vova and Artem were born with a weight that was good for a multiple pregnancy – from 2300 to 2600 grams. Fortunately, there were no problems that often arise in premature babies. The children are in satisfactory condition and do not need additional intensive care.
“All that remains is to get them out just a little bit. Grandmothers used to warm themselves in felt boots. So with us they lie in warm beds, we help them learn to eat. But these are minimal activities that are carried out with premature babies,” explains Chief physician of the OPC Oksana Lyubavina.
According to Deputy Chief Physician of the General Clinical Center for Surgery Alexey Fortyginin the mother’s belly, each of the babies had their own “house”, and they did not have to share the blood supply and nutrition among three, as sometimes happens:
“None of them stole from anyone. Therefore, they developed almost identically. The only problem was that it was cramped, but, as they say, no offense, we accommodated ourselves as best we could: some along, some across,” jokes the doctor.
The young dad is now also with the kids. Regional authorities agreed with the military department on urgent leave for the soldier.
“We agreed with the Ministry of Defense, they provided leave, many thanks to the Ministry of Defense for this,” said the governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexey Teksler.
The extended family will go home as soon as the boys begin to gain weight.
