Deputy Mayor of the capital for social development Anastasia Rakova told reporters that schoolgirls from Moscow became the best at the European Mathematical Olympiad for girls.

“Teams from more than 50 countries competed for victory. The participants solved problems in algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinatorics,” said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Rakova.

It is noted that Moscow schoolgirl Natalia Lenskaya won a gold medal. A student from the capital’s school No. 2086 received this award for the second year in a row. Elizaveta Zhukova from the Vorobyovy Gory school became the silver medalist.

The deputy mayor of Moscow added that schoolgirls from Tyumen and St. Petersburg also took part in the competition. The Russian team won gold, two silvers and a bronze.
