In Komi, the circle of persons exempt from paying transport tax has been expanded.

The corresponding bill was considered at the session of the Komi State Council on April 24. Deputy Chairman of the Komi Government, Minister of Finance Vladimir Kazakov presented the bill.

In accordance with the new changes, the tax exemption now applies to military personnel, employees of federal executive authorities and federal government agencies, employees of internal affairs bodies taking part in the SVO, as well as employees of the penal system of the Russian Federation who perform tasks in these territories .

In addition, benefits also apply to large families with seven or more minor children.

It is proposed to establish such tax benefits, which include exemption from payment of transport tax by taxpayers belonging to certain recipients of such benefits:

  • military personnel (from 2021 for the tax period that corresponds to the year the service trip began)

  • one of the parents or adoptive parents of large families with seven or more minor children (from 2024), if they have registered cars with an engine capacity of up to 200 l/hp (up to 147.1 kW), in relation to one of the cars.

For the first category of persons, the benefit will be accrued from 2021, and for the second – from 2024. To implement the first category, 2 million rubles are required, and for the second – 600 thousand rubles.
