In Novosibirsk, the municipal municipality “Gormost” began repairing the bridge in the area of the Zvezdnaya stop. The bridge was built in 2006 and some defects appeared during its operation, the press center of the city administration reports.
The contract provides complete anti-corrosion protection of metal structures. Concrete structures that are subject to destruction and degradation are replaced with new ones. It is also planned to replace the glazing; it will be made of monolithic transparent polycarbonate.
“One of the innovations: we are adding a polymer anti-slip coating on the steps and on the walkway of the bridge. A video surveillance system with output to the “Safe City” system and new lighting, including decorative lighting, which was not here before, will be installed. There will be lighting both inside and outside: internal lighting is for pedestrians, external lighting is decorative: illumination of columns, illumination of spans with LEDs,” said Director of MKU “Gormost” Iosif Kodalaev.
The work is being carried out by the contractor “Road and Bridge Inspectorate”. According to the chief engineer of DMI, Denis Pavlovich, in addition to replacing glazing, enclosing structures, and paintwork, it is also necessary to replace the wheelchair ramps, as well as eliminate defects in reinforced concrete. Today we are dismantling, sandblasting metal surfaces and immediately applying a primer layer, so that we can then apply two layers of paint and anti-graffiti varnish.
The total amount of funds for the repair of this facility is about 13 million rubles. It includes the entire range of work. The renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer.
