A 60-year-old and a 35-year-old resident of the Kaluga region appeared in court. They were accused of fraudulently taking possession of land belonging to the Kaluga municipality worth more than 22 million rubles.

To do this, they took the help of another person. Who exactly is not specified.

“Three criminals, acting as part of a group of persons by prior conspiracy, in the period from 2016 to 2017, being in an unspecified place in the city of Kaluga, participated in the implementation of illegal registration actions for the alienation of highly liquid real estate – land plots – from municipal property, acquired the right ownership of them, using forged title documents, thereby causing material damage to the Municipal Municipality “City of Kaluga” in the amount of more than 22 million rubles”,

– reports the press service of the regional prosecutor’s office.

As a result, the eldest of the defendants was sentenced to 6 years in a general regime colony, the youngest to 5.5. Both will also have to pay compensation for the damage caused to the city. However, the convicts did not admit their guilt.
