“In pursuance of the instructions of the President, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is taking response measures in response to Iran’s supply of weapons to Russia for waging war on Ukrainian territory,” the message says.

According to Nikolenko, the Ukrainian side decided to deprive the Iranian ambassador to Ukraine of accreditation, as well as significantly reduce the number of diplomatic personnel of the Iranian embassy in Kyiv.

The Foreign Ministry said that the Iranian side was told about the supply of Iranian weapons to Russia for further use by Russian troops against the Ukrainian population. This directly contradicts the position of neutrality, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, publicly declared by the top leadership of Iran.

“Supplying weapons to Russia to wage war against Ukraine is an unfriendly act that deals a serious blow to relations between Ukraine and Iran,” the ministry said.

Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ukraine shot down an Iranian attack drone “Mohajer-6”. This drone is designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, reconnaissance and fire damage. According to the military, the drone is capable of carrying up to four precision-guided munitions.

Earlier, the Ukrainian military shot down Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. UAVs “Shahed-136”, repainted and renamed “Geran-2”, are increasingly fixed at the positions of Ukrainian armored and artillery vehicles of Ukraine.
