The Samara team “Wings of Dreams” will take part in the festival for people with disabilities “Steel Will”, which will take place from April 24 to 27 in Sochi. Athletes from Samara will represent our region in several disciplines, including futsal for people with intellectual disabilities and football for amputees. Women and men will take part in the team competition.
It is expected that about 650 people from 26 regions of Russia, as well as Belarus and Kazakhstan will take part in the festival. The Sochi tournament will be the first stage in such events for people with disabilities. It is expected that the competition will be held in Samara in September.
“Wings of Dreams” is a volunteer project that helps people with disabilities and disabilities learn various skills. They can play football, improve their physical fitness, learn to swim, create works of art, as well as socialize and make new friends.
The project involves 200 children and young people from 6 to 35 years old with various disabilities: autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, disability and hearing impairment. The project was founded in 2014.
