The director of the Institute of Ivanovo Polytechnic became “Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation”

By decree of President Putin, the title “Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation” was awarded to Varvara Rumyantseva, head of the department of the Ivanovo Polytechnic University, director of the Institute of Information Technologies, Natural Sciences and Humanities, reports the government of the Ivanovo region.

The title was awarded for merits in scientific and pedagogical activities and training of highly qualified specialists, many years of conscientious work.

For many years, Varvara Evgenievna Rumyantseva has been engaged in scientific activities – working to increase the durability of building structures and their protection from corrosion. She is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. Varvara Rumyantseva has published over 400 scientific papers, two scientific monographs as part of teams of authors, and has filed a patent for a utility model. In Ivanovo, she formed a scientific school that deals with the issues of durability and reliability of construction complex objects.

Varvara Rumyantseva shares her knowledge with a generation of young specialists, teaching at the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University. Pays great attention to the quality of the educational process: uses innovative approaches to teaching, develops higher education programs. Under the leadership of Varvara Evgenievna Rumyantseva, a council has been opened for the defense of dissertations for the academic degrees of candidate and doctor of science in the specialties “Life cycle management of construction projects” and “Building materials and products”.

For her achievements in scientific, educational and social activities, Varvara Rumyantseva was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the President of the Russian Federation (2022), a Letter of Gratitude from the Department of Construction and Architecture of the Ivanovo Region, and other awards.
