The project for an extension to school No. 103 in Nizhny Novgorod is undergoing state examination again

Design and estimate documentation for the construction of a new building of school No. 103 in Nizhny Novgorod is again undergoing state examination. Representatives of the mayor’s office reported this on the social network Vkontakte, answering questions from citizens. The extension will have a capacity of 500 seats and will be located near the existing educational institution on Verkhne-Pecherskaya Street.

Nizhny Novgorod resident Evgenia Maksimova asked at what stage the project to build an extension to the school is at. She recalled that last spring the documentation did not pass the state examination. At the same time, the new building, according to the woman, was originally planned to be completed in 2024.

Construction hasn’t even started yet. When will our children have the opportunity to study in one shift? — the woman turned to the authorities.

In response, the mayor’s office stated that the project is ready and is being considered by the state expert. In 2023–2024, the administration sent a set of documents to the regional Ministry of Education. This is necessary to include the construction of the school building in the federal and regional targeted investment programs.

To date, no decision has been made,” said representatives of the mayor’s office.

Let us remind you that in 2022, the urban planning solution for the extension to school No. 103 on Verkhne-Pecherskaya Street was approved by the Architectural Council. However, in 2023 the project did not pass the state examination. Last winter, the mayor’s office announced that the documentation correct.

Start construction The new educational building was planned last year. According to the targeted investment list of municipal property objects, the building must be ready until the end of 2025.

Residents of Upper Pechera have repeatedly complained about overload educational institution. The situation is not helped by the nearby School 800, designed for 1,500 people. The mayor’s office said that the institution is being loaded in stages, and about 200 students from school No. 103 were transferred to it.
