Russian President Vladimir Putin was surprised when he learned that only 10% of those who applied for damage compensation in the Orenburg region received payments.
He demanded a detailed assessment and adjustment of the amount of payments to victims.
In the Orenburg region, more than 400 thousand applications from affected citizens for financial assistance have been accepted. And 46 thousand were issued. But this is a little more than 10%. And in all other regions the same is true in percentage terms. Why is it so little?
