In a solemn atmosphere, high school students and cadets of the “Young Pilots” class accepted the scarlet flag from the hands of veterans of the armed forces.

“This is a copy of the red banner – the same one that our Soviet soldiers hoisted over Berlin. Not every school can boast of such an exhibit. I am sure that you will cherish it in memory of those people who, with their participation and lives, achieved the Great Victory for you,” said Viktor Troyan, a participant in the fighting in Afghanistan.

Another exhibit – ceremonial officer uniforms – was given to the schoolchildren by combat veteran Vitaly Losev. The Soviet-style overcoat served with its owner in the post-war years in Czechoslovakia and the Far East.

Both rarities will be given to the school museum. There is already an exhibition of things and objects that were given to students by other veterans. For example, an old wooden chest – one of the soldiers returned from the war with it.
