This year they decided to abandon the festive concert for Victory Day, which was previously held on Lenin Square in Voronezh. This was announced at a meeting in the regional government on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The Victory Parade itself is still planned to be held in the main square of the city. His rehearsal is due to take place in a few days.
“After this, taking into account the operational situation, a final decision on holding the parade will be made,” the regional government explained.
But in the districts of the Voronezh region, all festive events on May 9 will be held indoors. The “Immortal Regiment” event, which was very popular among local residents, this time will only be in an online format. Processions on the streets with portraits of heroes of the Great Patriotic War were decided to be canceled due to threats to public safety.
Let us remind you that we will also not have fireworks this time.
