Russian heavyweight boxer Alexey Papin will fight against Isaac Chilemba, well-known to Russian boxing fans, on May 24 in Balashikha, Vitaly Tarasov, one of the organizers of the show, told Match TV.
“On May 24, in Balashikha near Moscow, Alexey Papin will fight in the first heavyweight division with Isaac Chilemba,” Tarasov told Match TV.
Earlier, this boxing evening was announced by promoter Vladimir Khryunov, and according to him, in addition to Papin, Kevin Johnson, Roman Andreev, Igor Sviridchenkov and Edgar Gukasyan will perform.
36-year-old Alexey Papin successfully returned to the ring in March this year after last year’s loss to Soslan Asbarov, while 35-year-old Isaac Chilemba, who has already boxed several times in Russia, has not entered the ring since October 2022.
