Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved a government decree according to which jobs will be saved for citizens who have fallen under partial mobilization. This was reported in the press service of the government.

“Mobilized citizens will be able to keep their employment contract and later return to their previous place of work,” the Cabinet of Ministers Telegram channel says.

The changes necessary for this have been made in the specifics of the legal regulation of labor relations in 2022 and 2023 and approved by a resolution signed by Mr. Mishustin.

The press service of the government noted that employment contracts with citizens called up for partial mobilization will be suspended, but not terminated. This decision was made to ensure social and labor guarantees for Russians. It applies to legal relations that arose from September 21, 2022. On this day, the president announced a partial mobilization.

Today, September 22, Alexander Khinshtein, head of the chamber’s information policy committee, said that before September 27, amendments would be submitted to the State Duma on labor guarantees for citizens who fell under mobilization. According to Art. 83 of the Labor Code, if an employee is called up for military service, the employment contract with him is subject to termination with the payment of two weeks’ earnings.
