A healthy and healthy snack between breakfast and lunch can consist of fruits, berries, nuts, a slice of bread or chocolate. But it is only suitable for those who experience severe hunger between meals. Elena Tikhomirova, a nutritionist and member of the National Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists, told URA.RU about this.

“If it is comfortable for a person to keep a food break between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner, then a snack is not needed. It is necessary if there is a significant feeling of hunger. And then the snack should be one, not 21. This must be very strictly controlled. As a snack, a classic of the genre is suitable – one fruit or berries weighing 200 grams, 20 – 30 grams of nuts, 40 grams of bread. It can be some kind of chocolate, 20-25 grams, or even 30, ”explained Elena Tikhomirova.

At the same time, the nutritionist noted that for proper nutrition and maintaining a sufficient figure, there are only three times a day. “Snacks are needed only if a person is very hungry between basic meals, and he just can’t stand it. And if he lives comfortably, then you need to eat three times a day. This is if we are talking about weight loss. Weight goes away if we eat the classic three times a day. A fractional meal every three hours is nonsense, you don’t need to do this, ”Tikhomirova emphasized.

Earlier, endocrinologist, nutritionist, nutritionist Aleksey Kalinchev said that an afternoon snack helps to compensate for the lack of calories due to inadequate previous meals. And also saves from evening overeating at night.
